Black Belt Business was formed to help business owners apply martial arts principles, dating back thousands of years, to the process of building and growing a successful business.
The founder, Nathan McDonald, has been working with small businesses for over 20 years and involved in Martial Arts for over 15 years.
The idea around Black Belt Business is to individually work with clients, helping them to plan, grow and succeed in their business endeavours. A “belt” system, similar to that used in the martial arts, serves to define essential knowledge, strategies and techniques necessary for growth.
The Black Belt System helps the business owner focus on tasks at hand and know what to do next to succeed. Specific goals are drawn up, as well as task progressions individualized and based on the business owner’s need areas.
Each individualised system, described in detail within a personalised “syllabus,” defines the necessary tasks to learn and pursue in each belt level. In addition, individualised instruction aids the business owner in his/her pursuit, stresses the pursuit of “one goal,” then moving on to the next belt level.
Working with clients to help grow and succeed in their business is the core fundamental around Black Belt Business. Therefore the idea around having only one goal, achieving it, and then moving to the next belt level led to the development of the Black Belt Business individualised syllabus concept.
Like Martial Arts, this business system isn’t limited to the ages; it will grow and expand and as new concepts evolve, and so will Black Belt Business, its instructors and its client business owners.
